PERSONAL STATEMENT: Lowell has had the incredible privilege of proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus on five continents: in churches and cathedrals, as well as in prisons, schools and military institutions; in crusades numbering up to 150,000 people, and in a shoe store with six dear saints; in the home of a Supreme Court Justice, and under trees and huts in remote villages; before football teams and racing teams; in stadiums, on soccer fields, and football fields, at youth gatherings and college campuses, and in hospitals, office complexes, modeling agencies, locker rooms, and on rooftops and dusty streets.

WHAT EVENTS LED YOU TO CROSSROADS: A roomate of Lowell's at college emailed me about Crossroads and thought I would be a good fit. From there the Lord took it and opened the door.
INTEREST: Sports of all kinds, going to movies with my wife, playing golf with my sons, hanging out with friends.

DUTIES: Over-see the operations and ministry of Crossroads Church - Kannapolis.
FAMILY: Married to Caroline and we are blessed with four GREAT children-Patrick, Grace, and twins Ian and Megan.

Mary Ann Mitchener

DUTIES: Over-see the church body, and assist members in finding their individual spiritual gifts, and helping them get plugged-in to the various ministry opportunities here at Crossroads.

BEEN AT CROSSROADS SINCE: Oct. 2005
WHAT EVENTS LED YOU TO CROSSROADS: On June 2005, I resigned from a large church in Boston where I served in ministry for 18 years to take some time to rest and consider a move south. The day of my last farewell party I told my volunteer staff that I completely trusted God for my future and that I knew God would provide the perfect next place for me. That day my brother and his wife, who attended Crossroads, saw in the bulletin that Crossroads was hiring and sent me a description of the position. I read it and immediately knew this was the job for me! I am amazed that God would provide the perfect job for me in my hometown where my family lives! Only God could arrange that. He is an amazing God!
INTEREST: Swimming, boating, hiking, anything outdoors
FAVORITE SCRIPTURE: Psalms 84:5,7 - "Blessed are those whose strength is in you, who have set their hearts on pilgrimage…. They go from strength to strength, till each appears before God in Zion."
PERSONAL STATEMENT: These are exciting days at Crossroads. I am privileged to be serving this congregation along with a wonderful staff during this time where we are seeing such evidence of the move of God’s Spirit! God is doing mighty things in our church and in our community and I am expectant that we will see His Hand move in even more incredible ways in the weeks and years ahead!
Worship & Design Team
Mark Carnes
Director of the Worship & Arts Ministries
DUTIES: Primary duties are oversight and shepherding for the Worship & Arts Ministries and all its participants. Designing, creating, and planning scripturally based worship events and services on a weekly basis using the various forms of the Creative Arts (music, drama, multi-media, dance, interpretive movement, creative art, etc). Oversight and direction for seasonal Dramatic/Musical Productions, primarily The Carolina Christmas Spectacular.

WHAT EVENTS LED YOU TO CROSSROADS: I was touring the area trying to secure a recording contract that I had been trying to negotiate. While I was doing a Youth Concert in the Western North Carolina Mountains, our Pastor approached me saying that he was going to be starting a new church in Concord, NC in a roller rink with a small group of people, not much money, but a big dream and hope that God would do something extraordinary. In my mind, I thought, "no way would I ever do that!" But I agreed to pray about it and the Lord took over from there…and the rest is history as they say!

WHAT EVENTS LED YOU TO CROSSROADS: Invited by Friends. The first time we heard Pastor Lowell preach we knew we were 'home', and Crossroads is where God wanted us to be.
INTEREST: Baking, cooking, camping, hunting/fishing, spending time with kids, singing/music, gardening. Love - Duke Blue Devils, Chef Paula Deen, Nascar driver Jeff Gordon and favorite music of all time that runs deep in my soul: Bluegrass - The Isaccs.

WHAT EVENTS LED YOU TO CROSSROADS: The church I was previously attending at the time wanted to start a contemporary service and I volunteered to 'check out' Crossroads. Ed and I liked the church so much we stayed!
INTEREST: Reading, going to the beach. playing board games- Monopoly, Scrabble, Sorry. Watching Pittsburgh Steelers Football and Tarheel Basketball.

DUTIES: I have the privilege of helping children fall madly in love with God!! Together with an incredible staff, we encourage them in their walk of knowing God and reaching the world!

What led you to Crossroads: (as a church member if applicable) Lowell and I knew we would start a church one day and were waiting on God’s timing. When God opened the door for Crossroads, our hearts burst with excitement. Starting a church can be quite exhausting, but it has been worth it all! We love the people of this congregation and consider it a joy and honor to be here.!!

DUTIES: Provide a healthy environment for children in the nursery. Train and support volunteers/workers. Develop and maintain security measures for the children's protection.

WHAT EVENTS LED YOU TO CROSSROADS: My family visited Crossroads with my daughter's friend. From the first time we walked through the doors we knew that Crossroads was the place God wanted us to be.

Michael Chambers
Assistant Director Kids 1st Ministries
DUTIES: Assist in Kid’s 1st. My duties consist of assisting by way of teaching and inspiring others to allow the greatness of God to work through them.
FAMILY: Married to my beautiful wife Shannon Chambers. We have 6 absolutely gorgeous children.

Kids 1st Coordinator - Kannapolis Campus
DUTIES: Oversee Kids1st at the Kannapolis campus of Crossroads Church.
FAMILY: Married to Thad almost 25 years-wow where does the time go. Mother to three wonderful children. Our oldest is Noland (21 years old) away in college in Maryland . Our oldest daughter Gretchen (18 years) is a senior in high school. The finish for our family is Emma ( 5 years) who is conquering Kindergarten. Yes I love kids.
HOMETOWN: Born in Siler City, NC. Been living in Concord for 20 or so years.
Been At Crossroads since (employment) May 2009. Our family has been members of Crossroads since 1996. (We were in the second membership class!).
INTEREST, HOBBIES: Love to entertain friends with food. Favorite pastime is either cooking or reading (sometimes reading about cooking). I enjoy playing with my youngest at a time in my life I was not expecting to play with a little one.

PERSONAL STATEMENTt: Working with children was something that came naturally to me. I have taught public school, Sunday school and been a mom. God is leading me in a new season as an administrator and I am excited about the journey.
WHAT LED YOU TO CROSSROADS:Fifteen years ago Thad and I were searching for a church. We met Lowell at our business. He was dressed in shorts and had just mowed his grass. He invited us to the warehouse (the prior location of the church). We thought we might like to visit this preacher’s church. After the first visit we knew we had found our church home. And, as they say, the rest is history.

DUTIES: Over-see the leadership of the S.H.O.U.T. ministry as well as work with teens in developing their relationship and growth with God. Director of BASIC, College/Career Ministry.

Shannon Chambers

DUTIES: Provide administrative assistance to Lenny Stallings, SHOUT Student Ministries and Jennifer McNaney, Kids1st!
FAMILY: I am married to Michael, a selfless man who showers me with love and longsuffering. I also share my last name with six of the most beautiful children on earth. INTEREST: My interests are vast. I could read or write all day, every day. I enjoy creating, coaching the game of life, cooking, traveling, dreaming with my eyes open, walking outdoors, playing tennis and learning. I am in love with lands near and far as well as the people who occupy them.

DUTIES: Over-see adult classes, Life Groups, Men's Ministries and all events associated with these. FAMILY: Married to Allison. We have three wonderful children, Grace, Abigail, and Simeon as well as a Golden Retriever named Jake and a rabbit name Lancy.

BEEN AT CROSSROADS SINCE: Summer of 2002.
WHAT EVENTS LED YOU TO CROSSROADS: God led me and Allison by faith from Kentucky to Crossroads. I began volunteering in different ministries until I was hired in January of 2003.
INTEREST: Fly Fishing, Artwork, Reading and Writing, spending time with my family.
FAVORITE SCRIPTURE: John 16:33 - "I say these things unto you so that you may have peace. For in this world you will have trouble, but take heart for I have overcome the world!"
PERSONAL STATEMENT: Hi!...Thanks for wanting to know a little bit more about me and what God has me doing here at Crossroads Church. I am blessed to have the opportunity to work alongside so many incredible men and women of God. I am truly thankful to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for the role I play in the body. WHAT EVENTS LED YOU TO CROSSROADS: My family felt the calling to come and help start Crossroads when I was little. I grew up at Crossroads, got married at Crossroads, and now work here. I am so thankful to be part of this church family!

DUTIES: assist the Pastor and Executive Pastor positions as needed in a weekly basis. FAMILY: Married to Chip for nearly 30 years, and we have two wonderful children, Leigh and Matt.

BEEN AT CROSSROADS SINCE: Been on staff since December of 1995
WHAT EVENTS LED YOU TO CROSSROADS: Chip and I answered God’s call to come to Crossroads to help start the church in July 1995. It was a hard decision because we loved our home church, First United Methodist in Salisbury, but knew without a doubt that the Holy Spirit was leading us here.
INTEREST: I have been on the Missions Leadership team since the church started because I enjoy serving Christ on the mission field. Over the years I have ministered in several countries, but the past few years I have focused on discipling and raising up new believers at Mision Cerro Grande, a small church near Chihuahua City, Mexico. I enjoy working with teenagers and mentoring them on the mission field as well. I also serve on the prayer team because I love seeing people healed and set free!
FAVORITE SCRIPTURE: Jeremiah 29:11, Philippians 4:6-7, Romans 8:28, Colossians 3:23-24 God has wonderful plans for us. We need to trust in His faithfulness and praise Him no matter what we are going through at the time. The joy of the Lord is my strength!

Eddie Siceloff
Communications Director
DUTIES: Responsible for the over-all look and message of the Crossroads campus' and its collateral materials. Graphic Design, Web presence and presentation of the 'branding' of Crossroads Church. FAMILY: Wife: Tina, Two boys: Greyson and Parker.
HOMETOWN: Statesville, NC
BEEN AT CROSSROADS SINCE: My family and I have been attending Crossroads since 2001, I have been on staff since July of 2007.
WHAT EVENTS LED YOU TO CROSSROADS: While Tina and I were looking for a church, a co-worker of Tinas suggested, 'the church in the warehouse', Crossroads, we attended a few times then, joined shortly after the church moved to the present campus in Concord.
INTEREST: I love working in graphics, interactive media, illustration and fine art. I love how technology changes, but the principles of design continue the same. Other interest is watching the Pittsburgh Steelers!
FAVORITE SCRIPTURE: I don't have necessarily a favorite as verses change according to what God is directing me towards. Currently, the verse would be Romans 8:28
Sam Mitchener
Business Manager
DUTIES: I have responsibilities for the accounting and personnel, i.e. payroll and benefits. I report to Craig Luper and provide reports to the admin council. Also, I work with the trustees who make sure the facility is properly functioning for ministry and worship.
FAMILY: Married to Laura. Two boys, Matthew and John Michael, in college, and daughter, Rachel, at Elon College. A cat named Moses who has a split personality and always keeps us guessing.
HOMETOWN: Concord, NC
BEEN AT CROSSROADS SINCE: Member since 2005 and joined staff in December 2007
WHAT EVENTS LED YOU TO CROSSROADS: My family had been members of the Episcopal Church for years, and although we were happy with our local church, we were concerned with the direction of the national church. We kept hearing about Crossroads; people from our church were even talking about it and visiting from time to time. We started visiting and knew right away that we had found our new home.
INTEREST: Boating, fishing, kayaking, camping, hiking golf.
FAVORITE SCRIPTURE: Exodus 16, particularly vss. 16-20 “manna economics” - trusting God for provision of our needs. Also, the Book of Numbers.
