Chris & Robyn Zickmund

 Zickmund Update- January 2012 

Chris and Robyn, members of Crossroads Church, having identified the call on their lives to be full-time missionaries departed for Belgium on June 29, 2011. They are currently in language school, immersing themselves in the culture and are part of a ministry team preparing to open a cafe. Chris and Robyn are believing in faith the remaining ongoing monthly need of $400 will be met.  About the Zickmunds

Chris and Robyn have been members of Crossroads for several years. They met while working for Habitat for Humanity and have been married since January 2007. They have been appointed by United World Mission (www.uwm.org) to serve as missionaries in Huy, Belgium.
 
While there they will have the opportunity to be a part of the local church, helping to expand its ministry and presence in the community. They will also be mentoring young adults who are exploring their own calling in ministry. They also hope to use their knowledge of construction to revitalize the community and to develop opportunities where young people can come to learn about God and what it means to experience a relationship with Him.  Their desire is to show others that God is real, relevant, and accessible to us all. 
 
The religious climate of Europe has been steadily declining where current statistics show less than 1% of the current population of Belgium claim to be Evangelical Christians. The once dominate religion, Catholicism, is claimed by less than 50% of the population and less than 8% are practicing Catholics.
