High School Mission TripsMexico Mission Trip Who: Rising 9th grade students - adults When: Summer 2010 Where: Chihuahua City, Mexico
Crossroads has developed a close relationship with Mision Cerro Grande, a church in a poor area near Chihuahua City. We purchased the land for them in 2004 and continue to support them by sending a mission team every summer. This team consists of high school students and a few adults. We disciple them by leading worship services, teaching Bible lessons, holding VBS for the kids, and with sharing food and clothing. We have seen God work in amazing ways over the years. We have also ministered to the Tarahumara Indians near Creel in past years and plan to go there again. Team Leader: Nancy Friend.
Navajo Mission Trip On July 10th, a mission team from Crossroads will travel to the Navajo Reservation to share God’s love. If you have a spirit of faith, service, adventure and an open mind to experience a different culture, you should join us. Our group will stay in a dorm owned by the United Methodist church and we will cook our own meals. During our week-long trip, we will have an opportunity to worship with the Navajos, do home repairs and visit nearby cultural sites. Trip Dates: July 10-18, 2010 Approximate Cost: $1,000 per person Team Leader: Beth Keasler.
SWAT The Student Worship Arts Team has been building relationships with the members of Peytona Southern Baptist Church. Through this partnership they also assist with Vacation Bible School. Trip Dates: June 19-29 Approximate Cost: $300 per person Team Leader: Lee Zeigler.
