Hockey for HaitiThe Cannon School in Concord, NC has partnered with the Charlotte Checkers to raise money for Haiti relief. 50% of every ticket sold for the March 11th game will be donated to the Red Cross. Our Response: Therefore, we joyfully follow Jesus' command to go into all nations and make disciples (matthew 28:19) and to be His witness by the power of the Holy Spirit in our own community, our nation and the world (Acts 1:8). In doing this, we follow Jesus' example and minister compassionately for He has said that whenever we feed, clothe or visit the hungry, poor, sick and imprisoned we are doing it for Him (Matthew 25:40).
The Results: Many lives are changed through the sharing of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Often, the people who have served on a mission team or local outreach event return having received much more of a blessing than they ever anticipated. |
