Chris and Robyn Zickmund

Zickmund Update- May 2010:

Chris and Robyn are currently at 55% of their monthly support needs. They will attend CIT (Center for Intercultural Training)  training for 3 months to prepare them for the field beginning May 25. They are still seeking regular monthly supporters and will need to be fully funded before they are able to begin full time ministry in Belgium. About the Zickmunds:

Chris and Robyn have been members of Crossroads for several years. They met while working for Habitat for Humanity and have been married since January 2007. They have recently been appointed by United World Mission to serve as missionaries in Huy, Belgium.

While there they will have the opportunity to be a part of the local church, helping to expand its ministry and presence in the community. They will also be mentoring young adults who are exploring their calling as missionaries with United World Mission. They also hope to use their knowledge of construction to revitalize the community and to develop opportunities where young people can come to learn about God and what it means to experience a relationship with Him.

The religious climate of Europe has been steadily declining where current statistics show less than 1% of the current population of Belgium claim to be Evangelical Christians. The once dominate religion, Catholicism, is claimed by less than 50% of the population and less than 8% are practicing.
